Filters

Filters analyze or alter data within the signal chain, and send it on for further processing. They don't necessarily need to have the same number of outputs as inputs, although most of the current filters do. Some filters, such as the Spike Detector and Phase Detector, leave their incoming continuous data unchanged while emitting events at specific times.
